Yin&Yang is a romance theme story, and it's gender-bend. So you'll see Yang in her female and male form.

Photoshooting in Ashton Court + Time laps
We went to Ashton court , into the forest to do a photoshoot timescape for our exhibition. This time Liam (Emma's boyfriend) came along because we are all not very good with cameras, so we asked for his help. We first went over to Georgie's place to gather and then take all the stuffs we need, before we go to the woods, Me, Georgie and Bethan went to B&Qs to get some woods to make out plinths for the exhibition show, we aren't able to lend some plinths from Uni because of some rat infection in the fabrication studio.

Of course we also had fun moving around places to places just to get our project done, thanks to Georgie and Bethan who has a car with them, so it makes us much more easier to travel up and down to carry all the stuffs :)
Once we settled the plinths, we gather up and went to Ashton Court together around 6pm, while there is still some day light in the forest.
We brought some snacks and food just incase we got hungry, because we are going to do a photoshoot timescape /time lap, so we have to stay in the forest until the sky is dark just to capture a good shoot for our project.
Everyone else helped setting up, first we look for a suitable location to do the photoshoot, once everyone agreed we started to put everything in place, putting the paper houses and LEDs together.
Bethan's digging a hole to make her little glow-in-the-dark pond.
And of course Georgie and Liam are taking some of the behind-the-scene photos.

Making little Paper Houses
Well the exhibition deadline is just a few days left, our group decided to sum up what we have done and make a conclusion what are we gonna show in the exhibition. Emma insisted doing the paper houses and tries to convince us to go along with her. I was actually thinking about doing something else such as making light up books with sensors , that's why I have been testing a lot working with the batteries and wires and LEDs.
In the end everyone has to agree with doing the paper houses , so we each have to do at least 20 paper houses, I shared some templete on our Facebook group hoping that it'll help the others to figure out how to make a paper house, and plus there are a lot of versions of paper houses in the internet so we would prefer to do a different versions houses to make it look more variety.

I found this templete online, so I shared it on Facebook with the others
After that I start making up my own templete with the recycle paper from books I cut out from.
This is my made-up templete
Its nice to see different variety of paper house made of each of us.
The next day we are going to Ashton Court woods to do a photography shooting for out paper houses, so in total I made about 35 little houses.

Testing 6 : Switches and Light Jar
I did a testing playing with switches and lights . Using some LEDs and wires to connect the switch into place to make it work.
I have quite a few empty jars and I want to put something in it and contribute in this project, so I made a mini paper light house attached with an LED and put it into the jar. I did two versions , one is something like a city scape, one is a normal paper house.

City scape
I like the outcomes of it, but I think I will put the paper light house instead because it goes well with our theme.

ProPractice 5th Group meet up
After my animation deadline, the next day I went to meet up with my group and discuss about the project plus meeting with the tutor and talk about our progression .
After that we went to Emma's place to hang out for a bit, set what each of us gonna do and how much we are gonna do, and by when we have to finish.
Emma cooked japanese curry for us again, and this time we celebrated early easter with Georgie's sister and Kim, we watch movies on and on afterwards until late at night around 9.30pm then we all gone home.
Some links we searched while discussing about the project:

Visual Culture Submission + Testing 5: Glow in the Dark Props
Finally ! spending a tough few days reading and doing research for my essay , its finally finished a day before the submission, so relief, i read alot of articles and watch a whole bunch of TEDxTalks and videos on youtube to get a clearer idea and clearer clue on what the topic I am talking about . i end up writing a 2700+ words of essay, I hope its not too much.
Testing 5
After Uni i went to the craft shop and bought some little mini glass bottles so i thought of playing with it with some lights and some glow in the dark paint.
I fill up one bottle with some left over bits from the laser cutting workshop, i kept the bits, and then put it into the glass bottle and added some glow in the dark paint and some vegetable oil to make it look like a glowing lava bottle

I also filled an empty bottle with the glow in the dark paint and see how it turns out.
I dont quite like the way it turned out actually, but its just another idea I had in mind.

Comic Drawing Workshop
I joined the comic drawing workshop organized by the comic book society I joined , with guest comic artist Dan Lee came to Frenchay to give us a small talk of how his comic career started.
Dan Lee was an Illustration student as well back about 5 years ago when he was still under his degree course, and he siad he didnt quite have the chance to really go ,so later on he decided to move on and work as a freelancer and draw his own comic strips.
I drew some pictures of character
I love this workshop, because I love character design, and I learned quite alot from Dan Lee as well, reminds me of the old me, the me that use to draw like crazy back then, non-stop drawing and drawing.

Testing 3: Glow in the Dark
So I watched some tutorial videos on youtube from/by kipkay DIY, there's one video talking about lights and glow and the dark, so i wanted to try out, that's why I use the house i made yesterday and color it with glow in the dark paint and see how it goes
Both of my testing worked out okay, but still not that obvious. I noted down some facts, maybe I can try to do glow in the dark for our pro practice project, since glow in the dark its still a kind of light , and it actually helps to save energy.
After that I took an empty jar and fill it up with glow in the dark paint and it turns out like this:
I made some noted about glow in the dark:
