Testing 2 : Paper House

So after our last meeting our group decided and talked about paper house made from recycled paper, so I thought of trying out to make one to test out.

It turns out pretty good, I like the looks of it, but I think some parts of the paper is still looks thick, so the light wont show through, maybe I'll have to use thinner type of recycle paper.

2D/3D Printing Rhino Workshop

11/3 and 12/3  I went in to a non-sign-up workshop in the fabrication studio because I couldnt get to sign up the one listed on the sign up sheet on the illus studio, so I just come in and see if there is any space left.
and BAM there is, lots of extra space, because there's only one student and me, a total of 2 students in this workshop .

We started learing how to use the Rhino program, James teached us how to use it, he's very patient
after we learned the basics, he let us play around for a bit with the software and build/ design something out of it.
I build/design something 2D in Rhino workshop and then took it to laser cut it, turns out not bad .

The next day I learned about doing a 3D model  using Rhino program, same routine. James thought us and let us play around with the program for a bit and then lead us to actually build a 3D object with the program and allow us to print the object out.

I have learned quite alot in this workshop, I'll definitely have another go someday !

ProPractice 3rd Group meet up

So, pancake day is near and our group decided and to have our next group meeting and make pancakes together while discussing our project, we gather in Georgie's house this time , before we start cooking and eating we first discuss about the process and progression we've done so far.

After some serious discussions about work, we all started out pancake making !

and we all had fun making pancakes and Georgie made sponge cakes with left over eggs . 

Testing : Lights Prototype

Using a small box so i think of playing with some lights i had

and I crave the box into something else hoping to make something out of it.

I think I kinda like the way it turns out, makes me want to do more to test it out ! 

Busy 28th

Last day of Feb ! And everything comes together all at once, because its Friday.

First stop, I have an animation animatic pitch presentation to show the tutor in the morning same time as the pitch presentation happening in the year two studio for the pro practice group project. Arril and Steven mentioned that an animatic is what are we suppose to be doing for our animation, a simple animatic with attached sample sounds, doesnt matter if its bad, they just wants to see a sample of how our story would be like.
I felt nervous, looking at people's film will give you pressure, kinda, because they are all so good, and I realized most of them doing under camera/ stop-motion and hand drawn animation.

Second stop, after the presentation of animation, I rush to the 2nd year illus studio for the next presentation, not really presentation, just a progress update/tutorial to Alex about our pro practice project and telling him our idea.
We feel tense at first, nervous, and hoping that he would like our idea. And.....
He likes it ! and even gave us some more ideas and spread our imagination more/onto the next level, he encourages us to think big, doesnt matter if its going to /not going to happen, as long as you dare to think only you dare to do ! kinda true  .
